CarNewsChina’s write-up of Li’s Carwow.es interview is careful: she guarantees BYD studies every battery route, claims a leading position on solid-state, and says next year one model will carry the tech to prove it — including manufacturing and equipment design, not only cell chemistry. No range number, no pack kWh, no sticker price.

Earlier in 2026, Lian Yubo told policy/industry sessions that solid-state is at a breakthrough stage while commercialisation remains constrained — solid-solid interface stability and lithium dendrite suppression among the hard problems. That matches a demo first, scale later story better than a “everyone gets solid-state in 2027” headline.
