Short version: this site collects only what it needs to run the newsletter, contact form, comments, feedback, view counts, and referral attribution. No ad trackers. No selling of personal data.
What we collect
- Newsletter — email address when you subscribe (stored in our database).
- Contact form — name, email, and message when you write in (stored so I can reply).
- Comments — name, email (required), optional website URL, and comment text. Email is not shown publicly.
- Article feedback — rating and optional note tied to a post.
- View counts — anonymous per-post counts (browser storage helps avoid double-counting).
- Referrals — when you arrive from another site or a shared link, we may store the page path, external referrer URL, and UTM parameters (no name or email).
- Analytics — Vercel Analytics for aggregate traffic (no personal advertising profile).
Cookies & local storage
We use local/session storage for theme preference, search UX, view de-duplication, referral de-duplication, and feedback “already submitted” state. Essential for the site to work as designed — not for cross-site ads.
Comments moderation
Comments may be held for review before they appear publicly. Spam and abusive content can be removed.
